California transcript — Substantially verified ✓ — Reviewed Naviance plan and official transcript (May 22, 2026). Chemistry (9th CA) ✓, PE ✓, Health ✓ all transferred and accepted by LISD. World History is not a CA transfer issue — completing at Glenn HS 10th grade (score 100 S1). Biology (8th CA) is on transcript but appears as out-of-plan in Naviance; plan is complete because AP Bio covers science requirement in 12th. Fix Naviance: DC HIST must replace AP US History for 11th grade — Naviance screenshots (May 22) confirm AP US History is still the primary 11th grade history course. DC HIST 1301+1302 (ACC) are listed only as Alternates — not yet promoted to the primary plan. If not corrected before August add/drop closes, the 11th grade schedule will be submitted wrong. Contact the counselor: remove AP US History, promote DC HIST 1301/1302 to primary. Combine this with Action #5 counselor meeting.

Start SAT preparation — Khan Academy — Activate Khan Academy free SAT prep linked to the College Board account. Minimum 1 focused hour per day, June through September 2026. This is the single highest-leverage summer activity for Rice and UT Austin competitiveness. A 1450+ opens UT options. A 1540+ makes Rice viable.

Call St. David's Round Rock — secure summer 2026 clinical placement — St. David's Round Rock Hospital has rolling teen volunteer admissions and summer 2026 spots may still be open. Research summer 2027 programs — Apply in spring 2027 — Bookmark and plan to apply for: Rice University OWL Days (campus preview, pre-med focus), UT Austin EUREKA / REU undergraduate research programs, Texas A&M summer research opportunities. Research experience is expected — not optional — for Rice pre-med applicants.

AP score review checkpoint — June 2027 — After AP exam scores are released (June 2027), review all scores with the counselor. Do NOT claim AP Bio or AP Chem credit at UT Austin pre-med. AP Calc, Stats, and English are safe to claim at all targets. Update the 12th grade plan based on actual scores.

Check Texas Children's Austin volunteer applications — January 2027 — Texas Children's Austin (Springwoods Village campus, ~12 mi) closed summer 2026 applications by the time research was completed. Their program typically opens again in January. Set a reminder: January 5, 2027 — visit texaschildrens.org/volunteer and apply immediately if open. Apply to St. David's North Austin teen volunteer program — March 1, 2027 — St. David's North Austin Medical Center (~25 mi) has a competitive teen volunteer program with a fixed annual application window. The 2026 window closed before this research was done. Apply by March 1, 2027 for summer 2027 placement. If already placed at Round Rock by then, use this as backup or supplement.
